About Twisted Pair Productions

This year’s Island Vibe Festival of reggae, roots, dub and soul is something North Staraddbroke Island and the over 5,000 strong crowd are not soon going to forget. For 3 days and nights home beach at point lookout was transformed into an amazing melting pot of Music, dance, circus and island culture.

In its 4th year now Island Vibe has grown enormously from its grass roots origins , with the likes of Chali 2na (Jurassic 5 - USA), Natiruts (Brazil), Mista Savona (Melb), Sunshine Sound System (NZ) gracing the stages this year. Twisted Pair Productions has had a history of being involved with the last 3 festivals and this year with special emphasis being placed on the sound, Twisted Pair took on the role of main audio production providing the system for the Main Stage along with extra equipment for three of the side stages.

Twisted Pair will be providing the audio for all aspects of 4ZZZ’s annual event Dub Day Afternoon being held on Saturday the 28th of November at the Jubilee Hotel. With Kingfisha’s Aussie take on Jamaican riddims combine with the sweet vocal harmonies of new outfit Darky Roots. Add in the vibes of Melbourne selecta Sista Itations alongside MC Riff Raph and new sound crew Coolie Konnect Sound System featuring Elephant Wise and Scorcha this is going to be one massive event not to be missed.

Twisted Pair are now offering AT Fire Bird Line Array in our production services. The Fire Bird Array is a compact system using 1 x CLA 1000 is a Bass/Mid/High composite line array cabinet per side along with 1 x CLA LF2000 Sub Bass Enclosure per side. The CL100 is capable of pushing out 7000w with the CLA2000 adding over 4000 w of low end per side. The system provides excellent coverage and level for audiences up to 1000 people, and with an extra 2 x CLA2000 cabs up to 1300 people. Perfect for indoor and outdoor concerts and corporate shows.

Twisted Pair Productions has been working closely with UD Productions providing them with sound and light equipment for various electronic music events they have been organizing around Brisbane at venues such as The Empire, The Step Inn and the South Leagues Club over the last year. We will be supplying sound systems once again on Saturday the 11th of April for their very successful series: Booyakasha, at the Step Inn.

Twisted Pair Productions is now stocking in the hire department Acoustic Technologies professional BB05 Sub Bass enclosure’s, BB01 Sub Bass enclosure’s, and MH01 Mid-High range cabinets. Acoustic Technologies are a welcome addition to our inventory and are well known for their excellent loudspeaker systems which are used in a range of applications, from clubs to major touring systems.

Three days (24 - 26 Oct) of sunshine on the beach, good vibes and a whole lot of amazing music. That’s what we dealt with at the 3rd annual Island Vibe Festival held on Stradbroke Island.



Twisted Pair Productions has been involved with the festival for a couple of years now; providing stage managers for the event. This year we managed the two main stages for the three day festival, working with bands such as Katchafire, Olmecha Supreme, The Bird, and Chocolate Strings just to name a few.

It's been 100 years for scouts in Australia so of course they're going to celebrate. With a 4000 person parade though the heart of Brisbane City and ending at the South Bank Cultural Forecourt where Lord Mayor Campbell Newman will present the keys to the city to the Chief Commissioner, Maurice Law, AM.

Twisted Pair Productions is producing all the sound, lighting and staging for the ceremony on the day, with all the musical acts live from the Suncorp Piazza after the formal ceremony being telecast back to the main stage on the Suncorp Super Screen in the Cultural Forecourt.
